Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO's)

These nonprofit agencies are responsible for procuring and preserving organs donated for transplantation.

Community education is vital to their mission. Contact the OPO nearest you for donor cards and other donor awareness materials. Many OPOs have videos, brochures, booklets, posters and buttons available free, or for a small donation to cover cost. Some have educational materials geared especially for high school or elementary school age children. Most OPOs have speakers available to address groups, schools, and associations.
