The purpose of the C.L.A.S.S. Community is to provide an online meeting place for support of families affected by pediatric liver disease.  The information on this site is for educational purposes only and is not to be used as a substitute for medical treatment by a health care provider. Because of your individual needs and the differences in treatment options, you should consult your personal physical to determine what is most appropriate for your family member.

Please use proper judgment when choosing your topics for  the forum.  We like to promote a family atmosphere, and posts that disrupt this will not be allowed. Please post your topic to one forum only, cross posting is not allowed.  Please stay on topic.  Posts should be related to the support of parents, children and families dealing with liver disease.  Please do not offer medical advice to others.  However, you may share your personal experience but this is not to be considered medical advice in any way.

We strive to protect our members' privacy, however, we cannot guarantee the security of information posted in these forums. Please be aware that personal information posted on an Internet message board is considered as being posted in a public arena. Therefore, we urge you to never post your last name, exact birth date or transplant date (only month and year will be accepted) If you need to give someone your phone number or address, please do so through the forums private messaging. Should you choose to post private information, you do so at your own risk.

Do not post for another member unless you have written permission from that member. Do not post or give out another member's personal information.  Once you have received that member's permission, you must state that in your post. Business contacts which are generally publicly available, such as those for doctors at hospitals, do not come into this category, and there is no problem with posting these.

Personal fundraising is not allowed on forum, unless you are specifically raising funds for the C.L.A.S.S. Community. Individuals wishing to do fundraising for C.L.A.S.S.  and uses the C.L.A.S.S. name must obtain permission.  Please contact Diane Sumner at admin@classkids.org.

This forum is not the place to exchange or give away medical supplies, medicines, formula, food items, etc. This site cannot be used for a commercial business.

If you quote an external source such as another website, book or magazine, please acknowledge the source. This is to avoid copyright infringement.

The administrators and moderators of the C.L.A.S.S. Community will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, but it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and C.L.A.S.S. will not be held responsible for the content of any message.
